Parts of Speech : ADJECTIVE

Welcome back!

Let's talk about the second on our list!

It's the ADJECTIVE!!! Yipee!!!!

An adjective is a word that describes a noun.

Do you know that in the English language, adjectives often go before the noun or they go after a verb? Let's check it out.

I have two Sweets.

In the sentence, Sweets is the noun and TWO qualifies the noun because it tells us how many sweets you have.

Here is another example.

I have a big Dog.

Dog is the noun and BIG is the adjective because it tells us how large the dog is.

Remember to practice and ask you teacher to explain better in school or at home.
