A noun is a name of a person, animal, place or thing. 

Some examples of a noun are:

• Names: Tolu, Emeka, Femi, Ujunwa, Usman, Hadiza, Akpan, Sandra, etc
• Animal: Tiger, Lion, Pigeon, Dog, Cat etc
• Place: Nigeria, Abuja, Enugu, Calabar, Church, Mosque etc
• Thing: Cup, Book, Pencil, Pen, Crayon etc

Always remember, a proper noun always begin with a capital letter.
